PCA North had the privilege of partnering with those going to Uganda to share the love of God with the people of this African country.
The blog post below shows a bit of what we did to help in tangible ways.

North students came to school a little early to load buses and head to Plano for World Impact Day.
Soon after we were in our seats, we began our program with the parade of flags. It was such a moving ceremony - seeing each country PCA families have shared the Gospel represented by that nations' flag. A black flag represented countries visited, but not open to the Gospel being openly shared.
Next, we honored the places, both in the U.S. and abroad where students will serve this upcoming week.
Two of our fourth grade students wore Uganda dress, representing the mission trip our North campus is supporting both with bringing tangible items for the trip and by praying for this trip until they return.
Our first and second graders joined students from the Plano campus and sang "Jesus Loves the Little Children."
An additional highlight was watching some of our PCA students share a bit of their family's culture, sharing a dance from the country of India.
After a very meaningful worship service, PCA North students met the high school students leaving for Uganda. They shared what they were most excited about and also what they were nervous about. This will help us as we continue to pray during the trip.
After the worship service, we met with the high school students who will be on the Uganda mission team. Classes had already been praying for certain students and it was very fun to put names and faces together and connect in person.
Students did a craft together and also spent time in prayer.
This precious fourth grader made bracelets to send with her prayer buddy to bless the children of Uganda.
One of my favorite pictures from the day is this one of Debbie Sykes, one of our OCS North parents and former 2nd grade teacher at the PCA Plano campus, with three of her former students who were on their way to Uganda.
Before heading back to our North campus, we had lunch together, but it wasn't our customary PB&J or Lunchable. Our entire school had a lunch of beans, rice, and water to remind to us how blessed we are.
