Enjoy some pictures from a very special day!
First of all - the Pilgrims and Native Americans started arriving early this morning!
Not my most flattering look of all time, but I had to get in on the action! I was glad to see Mrs. Z. also dressed as a Pilgrim!
After a morning of classroom learning, our students gathered for a time of Thanksgiving activities. Students were divided into family groups, with each group having a variety of ages. One of my favorite thing about our campus is that older students are so helpful and tender with the younger ones. Each group was given a name of a family on the Mayflower.
As we went to lunch, students were reminded about manners. Boys waited for girls to be seated and courtesy was the rule of the day.
The oldest boy in each family stood at the head of their table and said a prayer of thanksgiving.
