Hunting for Facts in 3rd Grade

I visit classes and think..."I wish I could have been in this classroom as a child."  That's the feeling every principal should have!

Granted, I have had some great teachers in my lifetime.  That's one of the reasons I became a teacher.  However, the teachers I have the pleasure of working with each day at PCA North make EVERY day a great day.  The time and energy our teachers put forth to create a great learning environment makes me giddy with excitement!

Today, third grade began a research project by "hunting for facts" on their chosen bird.  Mrs. Troster had taken the time to buy camouflage vests and binoculars to help students get into the spirit of hunting!

When I visited the classroom, students were using their iPads and resource books to find facts on their birds.  I look forward to watching this project unfold as students go from fact-finding to writing to presenting.
