Learning and Fun Go Together in PreK 4

Ahhh...What a great day!  Any day is awesome when I have a chance to pop in and hang out in a classroom. 

I was able to be in PreK 4 today!  

First of all...the BEST line of the day:

Mrs. McAdams (as students were getting ready for a group activity):  "Let's put our thinking caps on."
Unnamed Little Girl: "I think I'll put on my thinking tiara!"  

The PreK 4 students are learning about their five senses.  Today, they concentrated on the sense of "sound."  Students passed around plastic eggs, taking turns to shake them and listening for the sound.  There were lots of great guesses as to the contents; many were correct.  

One egg had salt; one had beans; one had a ball; one had cotton balls, etc.!  That tricky Mrs. McAdams likes students to think, so she had an empty egg for students to shake.  The students could not be outsmarted!  Again, many guessed correctly!

 

 

 

 

After the group activity, it was time to move to centers! 

 

Who wouldn't want to be with Mrs. McAdams in PreK 4?
